2012 Book Readin’

I plan to read fifty-two books this year. Fifty. Plus two. Fifty two. Reading is one of my most cherished hobbies, yet I never do it anymore. The last time I read a book for enjoyment was sophomore year. I kid you not. I’ve been that bad.

Current to-read list:
The Hunger Games series
The Lord of the Rings series
On the Origin of Species
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
Dracula
The Life of Cesare Borgia
Dream Psychology Psychoanalysis for Beginners (Freud)
Treasure Island
The Scarlett Letter
A Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man
The Jungle
The Secret Garden
The Picture of Dorian Gray
The Monstrumologist
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series
1984
Slaughterhouse Five
A Clockwork Orange
Something by Stephen King
The Grapes of Wrath
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Wise Blood
The Infernal Devices series

Potential Rereads:
Harry Potter
The Mortal Instruments

A lot of those are pretty hefty, but some of them (I’m talking about you, Mr. Caroll) are hardly “novels” at all. I figure I’ll find a balance. And really, I’ll just read whatever I can get my hands on. These are…guidelines.

And of course, I am always open to suggestions. Which means I want you to suggest novels. Now.
